You will gain knowledge and develop tools/techniques to help manage and improve issues such as urge incontinence & pelvic pain disorders. **This workshop is NOT appropriate for those suffering acute, unmanaged hip or pelvic conditions. Divine Health Studio 35A Rayborn Crescent, St. Albert, AB, CanadaJoin Shelly in this dynamic & educational workshop as she discusses common pelvic health issues such as incontinence & pelvic pain, & explain how a combination of yoga, Pilates & physiotherapy can address these issues & help maintain optimal pelvic health. Discussions will include how the popular Kegel exercises can potentially exacerbate many incontinence & pelvic pain issues, how the nervous system is involved in pelvic pain & incontinence, & how pelvic health is so much more than just the pelvic floor. A fun, inspiring & empowering practice, consisting of yoga asana, pranayama (including pelvic diaphragmatic breath), meditation, Pilates & physiotherapy based exercises will be included!
Saskatoon: Guided Meditation Workshop & Practise
Ground Yoga 626 Broadway Ave, Saskatoon , SK, CanadaWHAT: 2 hour guided meditation practise including discussion on 'what' meditation is, benefits AND potential side effects/precautions with meditation (supported by research). This practise will include exploration & practise of 4 different types of meditation that you can immediately start to use at home & in your day to day activities. WHO: this informal, comfortable and non-intimidating environment is suitable for beginners who know nothing about meditation but are interested in learning more AND also for those who have a mild, moderate or strong meditation practise and want to explore more. WHY: I've had overwhelming requests to offer a meditation practise of this type for quite some time. Personally, meditation has provided me with a clarity, calmness, and sense of 'peace and joy', amidst the 'issues' or fluctuations/situations that arise in life. Many people are discovering the benefits of meditation; and SCIENCE is showing some fascinating changes that can result in our brain, immune systems, genetic expression, and MANY other systems in our bodies & minds as a result of regular meditation practise. More and more people are becoming curious about meditation. I would love to share with you all what I have been taught about meditation over the past 15 years, what I have researched about it, and what I have experienced clinically with my clients as well as in my own practise and life!!

Sometimes it's more comfortable to attend a yoga practise that you know is more geared towards the male anatomy and that will make you feel strong and confident in what you do well, but also not make you feel too awkward doing some of the poses that you know you need, but feel a bit intimidated doing them! Please join me for a fun, informative, challenging but enjoyable MEN'S only yoga practise in a welcoming, non-judgemental, non-competitive and safe environment. Please bring a yoga mat if you access to one. A few extras will be available if needed.
