Morning Yoga: Using Mindfulness, Breath, and Gentle Movement for Pain Management

The first step to changing pain and moving with more ease is awareness. Join Shelly Prosko, Physical Therapist and Professional Yoga Therapist, in this inspiring one hour morning yoga practice at the 3rd World Congress of Abdominal & Pelvic Pain hosted by the International Pelvic Pain Society, where she will guide you through breath and body awareness practices that can be used to help empower your patients to reduce and manage persistent pelvic and/or abdominal pain. You will also enjoy a gentle, physical yoga practice including poses and movement sequences using Pain Care Yoga movement guidelines while integrating self-regulation practices, mindfulness, breathing and yoga philosophy.

You will experience these biopsychosocial techniques that you can immediately use with your patients to enhance safe and successful participation in their pain rehabilitation. As a bonus, you get to start the day with some well deserved self-care!
